     Jeff Kain- Head Varsity
      (480) 883-5204

Played basketball at Red Mountain High School where he was a starter on their varsity for 3 years. He was going to play basketball in college but blew his knee out and decided to change his focus to coaching. He has coached at every level from a 1st grade YMCA team up to adult and club teams. He became the head boy’s varsity coach of a 1A high school in Mesa in 1999. During his time there they went to 4 state playoffs including a season where they finished 23-3 and played in the state semi-finals at America West Arena. He coached there for 6 years being named region coach of the year 3 times. He then moved on to become an assistant coach with the Red Mountains Girls team where they finished as state runners-up. He then moved here to Hamilton, where in 2006 he was an assistant with the boy’s team. He is excited to be given an opportunity to coach at the 5A level and especially at one of the best schools in the state.

Laura Peterson- Assistant Freshmen

Started playing basketball when she was in 7th grade because her father really wanted her to play a 'team sport' (prior to that she only did gymnastics and dance). She fell in love with the game, competition and teamwork and played on all three levels while in high school at El Toro High in Lake Forest, California. She went to UCLA for college but was not able to play on the team there, in stead, she focused on her studies and learned how to dance Salsa.
